The Great Indoors designed a luxurious and dramatic flagship store for North American eyewear giant Clearly, marking its first Australian bricks-and-mortar presence. Located beneath The Ivy in Sydney, the store blends functionality by day with a captivating nightlife presence, reflecting the energy of its surroundings.
In collaboration with The General Store, The Great Indoors created a theatrical showpiece inspired by a disco mirror ball. The centrepiece features mirror-clad display boxes showcasing single pairs of glasses, arranged on a raised circular platform. After dark, the store transforms with coloured lighting and a rotating mirror ball display, projecting refracted light onto the streetfront for a striking visual effect.
The Clearly store won the Sydney Design Award for Best Retail Store Experience and was a finalist for the World Retail Awards – Store Design of the Year 2014.
